July 28th Cabo San Lucas Fishing Report

By Cabo San Lucas Fishing ReportNo Comments

Captain Julio and his crew took this couple out for a 6 hour fishing trip.

When you get  a good 6 hrs fishing with only two passengers.

You can concentrate on getting the bucket list catches.

Captain Julio took this group to 45 Spot.

It is located just two miles off of Cabo Falso Lighthouse.

The 45 spot is a raise at the end of a 600 foot deep ledge of the Cardonal Canyon.

Seems to produce some great fishing.

We like to accommodate all  group sizes.

We have a Beautiful 60′ yacht  Blue Sea, that can accommodate large fishing groups.

This day the water was a bit choppy and overcast.

On board was  mixed group of kids and adults.

When this happens, kids just want to catch fish.

Captain Gilberto knows that you don’t need to go far out in the ocean to do so.

This group caught many bottom fish and a small shark another name is mako.

Pretty cool for kids to see a shark up close.. then released !!

Talk about Dorado jackpot,

Did you know that there are multiple names for the Dorado?

Mahi Mahi and Dolphin Fish, you can generally catch Dorado all year round in Cabo.

Best months are from July to November.

Dorado is a great tasting fish that has lean pink meat with mild sweet flavor.

The season is off to a great start according to this group.

Thanks to Captain Gilberto and his crew.

Captain Julio and his crew, took this group out for a quick fishing trip.

When there is not much time in your schedule for a full day trip.

Captain Julio knows just where to go.

He heads  out past the lighthouse, not far from the marina.

With light winds and moderate swells.

Weather didn’t stop this group from catching a fresh lunch.

We can fillet up your fish and make you some fresh ceviche.

Captain Gilbert took this group out for a 6 hour fishing excursion.

From July to about October most game fish roam the Pacific side.

Not a far jaunt out past El Arco.

El Arco is a 200 ft arch that marks the boundary between where the Gulf of California meets the Pacific.

The lighthouse is great reference point for a 2-20 mile long strip of prime Pacific fishing.

Caught many bottom fish and a nice size Marlin.

July 17th ~Cabo San Lucas Fishing Report~

When you head out fishing with the whole family.

You don’t want to spend the whole day getting to the spot.

Kids don’t care what you catch as long as you are catching something.

The Captain of the 60′ Yacht Blue Sea, Gilberto….knows the area very well.

A quick cruise out of the marina, to an area called the lighthouse.

Pretty much where the Pacific joins the Sea of Cortez.

This group landed a Marlin along with multiple Ground fish.

Captain Gilbert and his crew departed the marina bright and early.

This group is determined to land a Marlin.

Weather is hot and humid here in Cabo.

But if you can stand the heat.

The Marlin can stand the heat too.

Therefore, a fantastic time for catching bill fish.

Top spot is where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez.

Not to far from Lands End…trolling lines are out.

Headed to an area called San Lucas Canyon.

Landed that Marlin and a few other bottom fish.
