Aug 14th Cabo San Lucas Fishing Report

By | Cabo San Lucas Fishing Report | No Comments

It was a rainy day aboard our 32′ Yacht Blue Star.

Rain , wind and light  swells didn’t stop this group.

They headed out just past the Lands End into the pacific.

Reeled in  this  Feisty Giant who put up quite the fight.

Did you know Marlin have this defense mechanism.

That when they eat something they don’t want, they regurgitate up their stomach.

It do swallow it back in!

Captain Beto  and his crew headed out bright and early in search of Marlin.

Weather cooperating, slight overcast with slight swells.

Slow troll out of the marina, heading towards the pacific.

The closest bank is the San Jaime Bank.

San Jamie Bank and Golden Gate Bank create an underwater pathway.

The underway path way is a great area for skipjack, yellowfin and  marlin.

Captain Julio took this group out for a 5 hour trip.

Beautiful 76 degrees, with a little overcast.

Marlin fishing has a been a little slow lately.

Captain Julio heard that the Marlin have been around Santa Maria Canyon.

Santa Maria Canyon is in the Sea of Cortez, about 20 mins from the Marina.

A local hot spot for bill fish.

Catching and releasing this nice size Marlin.

Captain Gilbert and his crew headed out early in the am.

Our  60′ Yacht Blue Sea, all prepped and ready for a half day at sea.

The weather is a beautiful 86 degrees, passing clouds with a slight breeze.

This groups bucket list request, was to feel the epic fight of a Marlin.

The water is warming up nicely, giving a better opportunity at reeling one in.

Captain Gilbert headed into the pacific, all lines out.

Slow troll around the Famous El Arco.

This Gorgeous Marlin was landed, just 15 miles north  around Golden Gate Bank.

May 2nd Cabo San lucas Marlin Fishing Report

By | Cabo San Lucas Fishing Report | No Comments

Captain Gilbert and his crew departed from the marina, aboard the 60′ yacht Blue Sea.

Nice warm day of 81 degrees , cloud coverage and mild to moderate swells.

Generally the month of May it takes a little longer to catch a Marlin.

Marlin tend to like the cooler water.

Did you know the Blacks only live in the Pacific.

A lot of trolling casting and using live bait is needed

After about a 30 min fight..this Marlin was caught photographed and released.
