September 12, 2023 – 2 Dorado, 2 Bonito
43′ Riviera Blue Sky | Captain Luis | 6 Hours Fished
John, Tammy, Jesse and Cindy traveled from the Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas area for a six-hour trip with Blue Sky Cabo Fishing Charter and Tours aboard the 43′ Riviera Blue Sky. Captain Luis ran the four-person charter from 6:00 AM until noon with the dredge in the fishing program, producing four fish: two dorado and two bonito.
The guests also had another Cabo experience planned for the following evening, making this fishing charter part of a larger time on the water.

Dredge Presentation Drives the Cabo Charter Fishing Program
Captain Luis incorporated the dredge into Blue Sky’s offshore presentation.
A dredge creates the appearance of a larger concentration of bait beneath the surface, increasing the visual footprint of the trolling spread.
The goal is to draw pelagic fish toward the boat before they encounter the primary lures or baits.
That program produced opportunities on both dorado and bonito during this six-hour charter.
Trip highlights:
- Two dorado caught and kept.
- Two bonito caught and released.
- Four fish for four guests.
- Dredge incorporated into the trolling spread.
Dorado Lead the Cabo Sportfishing Catch
The two dorado represented the primary game-fish result.
Dorado can turn a trolling spread into instant action. Their aggressive strikes, rapid acceleration and tendency to jump make them one of the most exciting offshore species available around Cabo.
They are equally memorable alongside the boat.
Bright greens, yellows and blues can appear across the fish as the crew prepares to bring it aboard.
Both dorado were landed and kept.
For John, Tammy, Jesse and Cindy, the pair provided quality offshore action during their six-hour morning.
Bonito Add Strength to the Cabo Fishing Report
Two bonito brought another style of fight.
These powerful fish are known for sustained runs and considerable strength relative to their size. They can provide demanding fights on appropriately matched tackle.
Both bonito were released.
That produced a balanced final record: two dorado kept and two bonito returned to the water.
For four guests, the catch also worked out to one fish per person on the final tally.
Forty-Three-Foot Riviera Enhances the Cabo Charter Fishing Day
The 43′ Riviera Blue Sky provided the group with considerably more space than a traditional small sportfishing boat.
For four guests, that meant room to move around, relax between strikes and enjoy the morning while Captain Luis and the crew continued fishing.
The larger platform also gives the crew working room when fish enter the spread and multiple lines need to be managed.
With six hours available, Blue Sky remained offshore until the scheduled noon return.
The group also planned to head back onto the water for a sunset experience the following evening, extending their Cabo boating experience beyond the fishing charter itself.
