Bob and Todd began the first morning of a two-day fishing booking with Blue Sky Cabo Fishing Charter and Tours aboard the 32′ Luhrs Blue Star. Their five-hour charter with Captain Chewy produced quality rather than volume: one marlin successfully released and one dorado caught and kept.

With another fishing day already scheduled, the pair opened their Cabo program with two of the destination’s signature offshore game fish.

Dorado Adds Variety to the Cabo Fishing Report

The dorado provided a completely different fishing experience.

Dorado are known for aggressive strikes, sudden acceleration, aerial fights and dramatic coloration. Even a single dorado can create fast action around the cockpit when it begins jumping behind the boat.

Bob and Todd added one dorado to the morning’s catch.

The fish was kept.

That gave the pair both a billfish release and a quality table-fish catch during the same five-hour charter.

Five Hours Deliver a Cabo Charter Fishing Combination

Blue Star departed F Dock at 6:00 AM and returned at 11:00 AM.

The five-hour schedule gave Captain Chewy enough time to produce encounters with two different offshore species while allowing Bob and Todd to return before midday.

More importantly, this wasn’t the end of their fishing experience.

It was only Day 1.

Booking consecutive fishing days can create additional opportunities because offshore conditions, bait concentrations and fish movement can change from one morning to the next.

The first day had already delivered a marlin and dorado. Bob and Todd still had another charter ahead.

Two fish may sound modest compared with a double-digit dorado day, but species matter.
