Cabo Fishing Reports July 2, 2026

Blue Water Cabo Fishing Report Scott, Allison, Jacob (13), and Abigail (11) from Texas boarded the 35-foot Blue Water with Captain Oscar for a 5-hour Cabo San Lucas fishing charter, heading offshore in search of summer action. Running a dredge spread, the crew worked productive fishing grounds just outside the marina where bait schools were thick and surface activity started early. Conditions were ideal with light northwest winds at 8 to 10 mph, calm seas at 2 to 3 feet, air temperatures around 88°F, and warm water holding at 84°F. These conditions created an excellent bite window for offshore sportfishing. The Hartman family had nonstop action as Captain Oscar raised and hooked 3 striped marlin, all successfully caught and released. As always, marlin in Cabo are catch-and-release, protecting the fishery while giving anglers the thrill of battling one of the ocean’s greatest gamefish. The dredge spread proved highly effective, bringing multiple billfish into the pattern during the trip. Summer fishing in Cabo continues to produce strong opportunities for families and anglers booking shorter charters, with marlin, dorado, and tuna all active offshore. The 35-foot Blue Water remains one of the top private charter choices for visitors wanting premium Cabo fishing experiences. Located at F Dock, Centro, Marina, 23450 Cabo San Lucas, B.C.S., Mexico.
