Cabo Fishing Report – Blue Sky Cabo’s Fishing Report – July 17, 2026 featured an outstanding six-hour offshore charter aboard Blue Sea with Captain David departing from IGY Marina Dock F, Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur 23453, Mexico. Guests Bob from Houston, Texas, Paula from Houston, Texas, Stacey from Cypress, Texas, Greg from Katy, Texas, and Darin from College Station, Texas enjoyed excellent midsummer fishing conditions. The morning began with partly sunny skies, an air temperature near 32°C (90°F), water temperatures averaging 28°C (82°F), light northwest winds of 8 to 12 mph, and calm seas that created ideal trolling conditions. Captain David deployed a professional dredge spread over productive offshore waters where schools of baitfish and working birds signaled marlin activity. The team’s patience was rewarded when a striped marlin charged into the spread and crushed the bait, producing an exciting battle filled with spectacular jumps and powerful runs before being safely released in excellent condition. Throughout the trip the crew continued marking bait and spotting additional signs of billfish, keeping anticipation high for another strike.
Although the final tally was one marlin released, everyone enjoyed an unforgettable day on the Pacific, incredible scenery, outstanding teamwork, and another successful Blue Sky Cabo offshore fishing adventure.
