September 19, 2023 – 1 Marlin Released, 3 Dorado – Cabo Fishing Report
Returning guest Krista came back to Blue Sky Cabo Fishing Charter and Tours for another morning on the Pacific, this time bringing Pete, Kyle and Crystal aboard the 43′ Riviera Blue Sky for a six-hour fishing charter with Captain Luis.
The four anglers departed F Dock at IGY Marina at 6:00 AM on September 19, 2023. Krista elected to add Blue Sky Cabo’s fish-attraction dredge to the charter, giving the crew another tool for attracting offshore predators into the trolling spread.
By the scheduled noon return, the group had recorded one marlin released and three dorado.
Four anglers. Four fish. Two premier Cabo game-fish species. And a returning guest adding another fishing adventure to her Blue Sky Cabo history.

Returning Guest Chooses Cabo Fishing Charter Again
Krista’s history with Blue Sky Cabo adds an important dimension to this fishing report.
She wasn’t discovering the company or the 43′ Blue Sky for the first time. The original charter record identifies her as a repeat guest who had previously fished aboard Blue Sky.
Returning customers are particularly meaningful in the charter business.
A first booking can be influenced by advertising, reviews, photographs or recommendations. A repeat booking comes from someone who already knows the experience and chooses to return.
For this trip, Krista was joined by Pete, Kyle and Crystal.
The four guests had a private six-hour fishing window aboard Blue Sky, running from the early 6:00 AM departure until noon.
Dredge Adds Attraction to Cabo Sportfishing Spread
Krista also selected the fish-attraction dredge for the charter.
A dredge is designed to imitate a concentrated school of bait moving beneath and behind the yacht. Multiple artificial baitfish or attractors create movement and flash in the water, helping build a larger visual target for predatory game fish.
It is an advanced offshore fishing tool used to enhance a trolling presentation.
The charter record confirms that the dredge was part of the September 19 fishing program.
What it does not document is which individual fish reacted to the dredge or the precise sequence of each hookup.
Those details aren’t being invented.
What is documented is a strong result: one marlin and three dorado during six hours aboard Blue Sky.
Marlin Highlights Cabo Fishing Yacht Adventure
The marlin became the headline fish of the charter.
Cabo San Lucas has built an international sportfishing reputation around its billfish opportunities, and a marlin encounter remains one of the defining experiences for anglers visiting the region.
Marlin combine speed, strength and spectacular athletic ability. Their surface displays can turn a fishing charter into an experience guests remember for years.
Blue Sky Cabo practices catch and release with marlin.
The fish recorded during Krista’s September 19 charter was released back into the Pacific, producing a 100% marlin release rate for the day.
The objective is simple: experience the excitement of catching one of Cabo’s greatest game fish while giving that fish the opportunity to survive after the encounter.
Three Dorado Strengthen Cabo Fishing Report
The released marlin wasn’t the group’s only action.
Three dorado added another highly sought-after Cabo species to the day’s results.
Dorado are famous for their intense coloration. Brilliant yellows, greens and blues can become particularly vivid when a fish is excited near the boat.
They are equally respected for their fighting ability.
Fast runs, aggressive strikes and energetic surface action make dorado exciting targets for visiting anglers.
For Krista, Pete, Kyle and Crystal, three dorado combined with the marlin to create a four-fish charter featuring two distinctly different offshore game fish.

Six-Hour Cabo Fishing Charter With Captain Luis
Captain Luis operated the 43′ Riviera Blue Sky for the September 19 charter.
The group left F Dock at 6:00 AM and returned at noon, creating a six-hour fishing day that covered the prime morning period while still leaving the guests much of their afternoon available in Cabo San Lucas.
The original charter notes do not identify the precise fishing grounds, individual baits or lure selections.
Those details are intentionally omitted rather than reconstructed.
The historical record does establish the important facts: Blue Sky, Captain Luis, four guests, six hours, dredge fishing, three dorado and one released marlin.
Repeat Business Meets Cabo Sportfishing Success
Krista’s return provides a fitting ending to this report.
She already knew Blue Sky Cabo.
She chose to come back.
She brought three additional guests.
She returned aboard the 43′ Riviera Blue Sky and selected the dredge for another offshore fishing experience.
Six hours later, the charter had produced a released marlin and three dorado.
The numbers are strong, but they represent something larger than a four-fish total.
They document another chapter in the relationship between a repeat guest and a Cabo charter operation she trusted enough to choose again.
