Matt, Todd II, Todd III and Marcos headed offshore with Blue Sky Cabo Fishing Charter and Tours aboard the 43′ Riviera Blue Sky for a five-hour morning with Captain Luis. The four-person group fished a complimentary dredge system and produced an exceptional all-billfish result: one marlin and one sailfish, both successfully released.

The recorded fishing window ran approximately 6:30 AM to 11:35 AM, giving the group two premier billfish encounters during a relatively short Cabo charter.

There were no dorado, tuna or smaller species padding the count.

This was simply two billfish encounters—and two successful releases.

Captain Luis and the Blue Sky crew managed the encounter through the fight before successfully releasing the marlin.

Sailfish Adds Variety to the Cabo Fishing Report

The sailfish gave the group a second billfish species during the same morning.

Sailfish bring their own style to offshore fishing. Their distinctive dorsal fin, speed and surface displays make them immediately recognizable and exciting to encounter.

This fish was also successfully released.

That produced a perfect release record for the charter: two billfish caught, two billfish released.

For four anglers fishing only five hours, catching both a marlin and sailfish created a highly distinctive species combination.
