Zach and Ashley traveled from the Raleigh, North Carolina area for a six-hour fishing charter with Blue Sky Cabo Fishing Charter and Tours aboard the 32′ Luhrs Blue Star. Both dorado were kept.

That gave Zach and Ashley not only an offshore fishing experience but also quality fish from the day’s catch.

Skipjack Bring Speed to the Cabo Fishing Report

The two skipjack added another dimension.

Although they don’t have the visual reputation of dorado, skipjack can be remarkably strong for their size. Their speed and sustained pulling power make them entertaining fish on appropriate tackle.

Both skipjack were released.

That created a clean division in the catch record: two dorado kept and two skipjack returned to the water.

For two anglers, the combination meant repeated action without relying on a single species.
